Leadership Team

Michael Franco is the President & CEO of MicroBlade, LLC, an AMC and MicroTCA products company providing leading edge technology components for use in telecommunications, enterprise, medical, industrial and security markets. Mike was the Director of Advanced Technologies at Artesyn Communication Products from March, 2001 to June, 2004, where he was responsible for new product development, product road mapping, and strategic development of core competency through engineering skills and tools development. Prior to March of 2001, Mr. Franco was the Vice President Engineering and Chief Technology Officer at Merge Technologies, a multinational manufacturer of image networking and software products. He has also served as President and CEO of other companies in the medical imaging market. Mike holds several patents in video image acquisition and image processing.

Mr. Franco is currently Chairman of the PICMG MicroTCA Subcommittee and former draft editor of the PICMG.AMC specification. Other standards work includes authorship of the mechanical, power and thermal sections of the AMC spec and chairman of the AMC Connector Workgroup and Vita 39 Subcommittee.
